You may want to do Toyota Navigation Map Updates if you have a newer model Toyota, or if you are just installing the latest software for a new car.

Here's how to update your Toyota navigation maps:

1. Start by turning off the power of your car. This will prevent any problems caused by a computer error.

2. Connect your cell phone to the USB port located in between the front seats of your vehicle using an approved USB cable.

3. Start the update process by pressing and holding the "R" button at the bottom center of your dashboard until "R" flashes in all four corners of your screen, then release it when prompted by your car's system.

4. Enter your password (if prompted) and select "Yes" when asked if you wish to continue with the update process, then press OK on your steering wheel to begin downloading files from the internet over Wi-Fi (if you have this option enabled).

5. After allowing approximately 30 minutes for download, press OK on your steering wheel again to install updated software into the memory onboard the computer (if there was one available).
